DANCE TEACHER CERTIFICATION

The CCSU Dance Program offers opportunities in
dance technique, composition and performance. 
It is committed to students reaching their maximum
potential as educators, performers and healthy human beings.

      

Offering a full range of Dance courses, as well as internships and apprenticeships with professional companies.

General Theatre - Dance Emphasis or a Minor in Dance. 
The program is based in Dance Education with performance opportunities.

Students can perform in their own work, faculty work and work by visiting guest artists, including Merce Cunningham, Jennifer Muller, and The Albano Ballet.  Studio performances and mainstage productions offer many opportunities to learn the craft from performance to production.  Additional all workshops and master classes are offered throughout the year.  

The Dance program encourages an atmosphere conducive to embracing
personal development, promoting resources that allow growth in knowledge
and skills, exploring and responding, and applying creativity.
