"...you (Professor Fellows) were able to showcase the development of outstanding young talent, could only (have) happened because of your own enormous talent as a performer and teacher."  Dallas K. Beal, Former CSU President

World-renowned filmmaker Elliot Caplan conducted a hands-on dance and camera workshop at CCSU.  Famed choreographer Merce Cunningham and Caplan, having collaborated for years in filmmaking, most recently won international acclaim this year for their dance video titled "Beach Birds for Camera."   The film won the 1993 IMZ Dance Screen award for the transformation of an existing dance into an original cinematographic work.  The film was selected from more than 170 entries from 96 nations.  It combined black and white with color film and was shot in December 1991.
