| "The
common goal that I strive for as an educator is to give all students the time,
space and knowledge to experience their maximum potential, while executing a
simple movement phrase, delivering a monologue, or performing a complete dance
composition." Catherine J. Fellows |
|
Colleagues and students attest to the significant level of her teaching ability:
|
"Catherine
is a disciplined and tireless worker who gives individual attention to her
dancers.
She is firm, but patient, and sets high standards for her students.
The students respect her dedication and insistence on excellence,
and they rise to the call......Catherine instills in her students an
appreciation of hard work, discipline, and the satisfaction of a job well
done." |
|
"Professor Fellows is totally dedicated to providing future educators with a solid foundation of the creative movement and dance process." |
|
|
"She encourages students to embrace their humanity and understand that anyone who attempts to connect to his or her body and the space around ones’s self can 'move' like a dancer." |
|
|
"With an expert eye she can identify a student’s strengths and
weaknesses and help him/her grow as an artist and a person." |
|
| "Her knowledge of movement and creative composition as imparted to
me in the classroom and through choreography has been part of the
philosophy and mission statement upon which I have built an entire school.
I will forever be indebted to her for showing me a method, a
process, by which to educate and allow children to connect mind, body and
soul through movement and dance." |
"Daily it is an honor for me to stand with my students and have them give me their time and respect and inspiration, allowing me to do what I love to do most in life- dancing and teaching." Catherine J. Fellows
